I received the Dell on Nov 19 and immediately started loading Updates after startup.This is where the problems started.I have a 58 Mbps Internet connection and downloads are usually very, very fast.I took 2-3 hours to download the first file, which was a conglomeration of many fixes.The Installation went relatively fast.The next download was Service Pack 1 and that took 3-4 hours.
I checked my Network speed at speedtest.net several times and it indicated from 1 Mbps to 10 Mbps and wouldn't even start a few times.I had my old computer on the table next to it, so I moved the Ethernet cable from the Dell to the old computer and ran Speedtest several times, always indicating 58-59 Mbps.This pretty much told me that the Network card on the Dell was Bad.
I filed a return with Amazon and it was approved by the seller, who wasCandance Ross, thru Amazon - BUT, I was to pay the return shipping fee, which was $65.00.I thought that was not right, since I bought a new computer, but was sold a DEFECTIVE one.I have learned my lesson to not buy through one of the Amazon partners, because I am sure that Amazon would have paid for the shipping costs to return it.

This is my first Dell computer after 20 years of owning Compaq & Hewlett Packard PCs. I'm pleased so far. It was easy to set up & run from the start. I had no problems getting it up & going. It did take a little while to delete the fluff & set it up the way I prefer, but that would be true of any new PC . I'm not a big fan of Windows 10 yet, it seems to want to take more control of my computing & requires more effort on my part to save folders where I want them. But that's an OS issue, not hardware issue. If not for my mild disappointment with Windows 10, I would have given it 5 stars. Most others I've talked to like 10. This Dell seems to be a good computer, we'll see how it holds up in the long run. I'm satisfied & pleased with it so far...

I don't know if this unit was refurbished or what but the way it was shipped, it's contents packaged and the simple instruction, etc., it makes you question if it was. First, hooked it up, plugged it in, and the desktop couldn't detect the WIFI during setup. After several hours with Dell tech support, it was determined that several drivers were missing, including the WIFI driver and front USB drivers. Did an ethernet connection, a remote assist and still couldn't update the drivers, even in safe mode. After 3 hours, the screen went blank and started to illustrate all the different colors in the rainbow with intermittent static shots. What a joke. Dell wanted to send a tech out to fix, within the next 3 business days. BIOS reported that no WIFI card was installed after trying to update drivers so tech determined it's also a hardware issue. I asked why wasn't this tested before being shipped out and they responded that since it was Amazon's product for sale, they are suppose to test it.
I am shipping it back today. What a joke and waste of my time! Black Friday is around the corner, I'll find a better deal and comp. I only bought this machine because of all the rave reviews. Just proves again, how much that really matters.

I called Dell to find out why the MS Office Trial wasn't working and found out it was already 92 days old. Doesn't make sense since I bought it 2/5/16 and received it, plugged it in on 2/11/16. So far no response from the seller.
Here it is 10/5/16 with no response from Amazon, except a "Thank you feedback email" and no response from the seller, I now have a desktop computer that is not working. Do I call Dell, the seller or Amazon? Not sure of the direction to go. The computer was set up without a password and now it will not continue to the desktop until I put in a password. So what's a customer to do when we have this kind of problem????

I was deceived about the PC Dell computer I brought. I purchase it in October of 2017, but When I received my computer from Amazon the Dell warranty had expired(06/10/2016). I am very disappointed in the false advertisement Amazon made, I thought I was buying a 2017 Dell computer, now Dell will not repair my computer.I will let my friends know to take a closer look at Amazon's dates on your product.Very Disappointed!!!!
Got this PC as a general purpose machine. With 6GB RAM, I'm thinking about trying it as a video editing machine.
I like the small form factor, and setup was easy. Wimdows10 was the most current version, and I have only run 2 updates so far. I like the pre-install Windows10. I have several other PC's running the upgraded version, and they all update constantly.
There was no bloatware, and the only thing I had to uninstall was the McAfee that came on it. I don't like McAfee or Norton, so I avoid them both.
There are 6 USB ports, 4 USB 2 & 2 USB 3. The USB 3 are on the front, which is going to make using them awkward. I was planning on plugging in an Anker 7 port hub in one of them, now I'm going to have to rethink that. The machine is under a desk, so I may be able to keep the cable out of the way, we'll have to see.
I'll update this review in a few weeks after I've used the machine for a while.
So far, so good! Desktop with lots of storage space. This thing is QUIET!!! I only know it's on because of the power light. Got it through the warehouse for a steal of a deal!
Nice computer using Windows 10. The problem is the cd rom drive on the front of the tower is broke, and the drive does not show up on my computer places. Other than that its a great computer. If I bought it for myself I would be very unhappy. But I bought it as a gift for my sister, who is a computer novice. She was not interested in sending it back as she didn't think she would make use of the cd rom drive.
Great PC for both work and domestic use. It has a small footprint compared to most PCs out there while still providing upgreadability for years to come.
I am very satisfied with this computer, however, I would caution potential buyers that this one was already 1 year old new in the box but didn't come with a manufacturers warranty. I'm glad Amazon suggested an extended warranty as part of the sale. Word of advIce, check to be sure this item has a manufacturers warranty before u buy.
Highly recommended. Can't replace info from previous One due to lightning strike but came with keyboard and mouse. Didn't know this in ordering so have duplicates, didn't want to return.
Have been using for 10 months now without a single problem. That is all I ask. Very pleased with this PC. Use it for normal PC stuff including some light graphics work. Not a gamer but this is not that kind of machine.
